TRAVEL: 5 Top Destinations Ticked Off My Bucket List & What you May Find When You Visit

Can you  hate flying and absolutely love travelling? Well that is me in a nutshell. I have been to a few cities across the globe  but no matter how few, I have my top 5 destinations already ticked off my bucket list and you can do same. In this short blog post, I summarise some horrible and  fun fact I remember from my visit to these tourist destinations. I am looking forwards to experiencing what travel will look like post Covid-19 era; just as  many of you are and hopefully, the end of this Coronavirus Pandemic will be the beginning of more cities to travel.

Malta:

Similar scenery to Italy, Malta is a beautiful and peaceful country. I had gone on a school field trip and loved every place I had the chance to visit. The highlight for me was eating Octopus for the first time and scared of an allergic reaction but hey, you will never know until you get to try it. The taste was bland to say the least, I expected a fish like taste but got nothing. Well am looking forwards to a much deserved holiday back and this time with my entire nuclear family.

PARIS:

Paris left a little bitter taste for me .Although it has a very beautiful ambience and all, the French people were surprisingly unfriendly at the time. From the hotel staff to the restaurant and the tourist sites...….yurk…...Am only going back  there just to watch a live tennis Roland garros championship match.

ROME:

If you are a Nigerian you will understand what the term 'jobbing' means. Two restaurants wanted to job me but as a sharp Nigerian girl I was smarter than they thought. All I would advice is when  you are in Rome,do not do what the Romans did .Check your receipts amount properly before you make any card or cash payment …. simple! The "Coliseum" was however a wonderful sight to behold! Many years of Roman history, preserved in an edifice where gigantic gladiators, rose and fell from belligerent glory.

New York:

New York,  New York! The madness of the place, with the finesse of hustle and bustle! Was it too crowded? Yes it was but there are lots of  fantastic history and sites to see, which will certainly make up for everything else....Time Square in the night was certainly a site to behold.

Absolute best place in the world according to the husband and am like really...….next!

Accra:

Closer to my heart than I thought. My late mum was born and grew up in Accra so, I wanted to experience a little of what she did growing up. Fun fact..... Accra is colourful and the people are everything the French is not.
